General urges U.S. to leave West Asia

TEHRAN - Yahya Rahim Safavi, a top military adviser to the Leader, said on Saturday that Iran is seeking to establish security in the West Asia region and urged the U.S. to leave the region.

“Iran has taught the regional governments and people that it is possible to establish security in the Persian Gulf and the West Asia region without the presence of the U.S.,” the major general said.

Iran has been able to help establish security and peace and in the region, the former IRGC chief remarked, adding security will not last in the region without Iran’s help.
